Astellas is dedicated to the transplantation and organ donation communities, and supports a number of organizations and events that focus on increasing public education on the importance of organ donation with the goal of increasing the number of registered organ donors. Get Game—Give Life® uses the setting of NCAA and NBA basketball games to make the audience aware of the critical need for organ donation and to provide an opportunity for fans to register to become organ donors.
The 2009 Get Game—Give Life program traveled around the United States throughout the winter and spring, spreading the message that every person has the power to save lives through organ donation.
