Award
Astellas partnered with Donate Life Hollywood—a liaison between the organ and tissue donation community and the entertainment industry—to host the inaugural Donate Life Hollywood Film Festival. More than 200 guests attended the reception at the Director's Guild in Los Angeles, where Hollywood writers, producers, and executives met transplant professionals and members of the transplant community.
After a series of movie screenings open to the public, the 2009 Entertain, Enlighten, Inspire Awards were presented to honor television shows, movies, and documentaries that accurately portray organ transplant and donation without perpetuating harmful myths.
